New £100m SME Builder Initiative Unveiled

A new £100m initiative set up to support small builders has been established by the government and Lloyds Banking Group, housing minister Brandon Lewis has revealed. The Housing Growth Partnership will invest alongside smaller builders in new developments, providing money to support their businesses, helping get workers onto sites and increasing housing supply. The partnership will also establish a network of builders, including experienced developers, who will act as mentors and advisers to those looking to expand and grow their businesses. Three Manchester buildings bought in £16m deal

A trio of prominent buildings in Manchester city centre have been bought a in a £16m deal. London-based real estate investor and developer Boultbee Brooks Real Estate (BBRE) has acquired 67-75 Mosley Street (pictured), 79 Mosley Street and Castlefield Chapel from M20 Property Group. The two Mosley Street properties are expected to be transformed by BBRE into new workspace while the grade II-listed Castlefield Chapel is occupied by Pannone Corporate. Office block sold for triple cost under a year

A European investor has tripled its money after selling two Greater Manchester office blocks just eight months on. M7 Real Estate has sold the office blocks in Salford and Altrincham for £7.34m. The properties generated a 2.6-fold return on equity for the fund.
